The Leghorn chicken originates from Italy and is renowned for its exceptional egg-laying capacity, producing 250 to 300 white eggs annually. Egg production may vary slightly depending on the individual bird. They are considered champion egg layers in the poultry world. However, they are not suited for meat production due to their small and lean physique. Historically and presently, their primary role is in egg production. Leghorns tend to be active and somewhat flighty. We keep both brown and silver duckwing feather colour varieties.
