‘Why choose, if you can have both?’ ~ We have a foothold in both the Show Ring and backyard enjoyment of a colourful egg basket. Our venture into the world of chickens was first kindled by the charm of the Easter Egger, with its promise of an egg basket brimming with eggs in a kaleidoscope of hues. As it often happens, our initial fascination grew into a deeper curiosity; delving further, we immersed ourselves in the prestigious world of show poultry and the fascinating world of chicken genetics. We now focus on a very select group of breeds and some of their varieties, most of which are celebrated for their egg colour diversity. Our show breeds, the cornerstone of our operation, are meticulously woven into our backyard projects to yield eggs of particular colours. This approach has brought us full circle to our initial enchantment: relishing the simple pleasure of a colourful egg basket.
