Auction on 1 Feb 2025

For the past couple of years, we have been collecting bloodlines of our breeds and last two seasons focused primarily on breeding Marans. Our Marans debuted at shows last year; although they have flaws and are not yet ideal, we are pleased with their progress. A pleasant surprise was when our Marans Rooster won Grand Breed Champion at the 2024 SASPO National show. Marans are known for their rich, dark brown eggs, but their egg colour can vary over time.

As this is the year’s first auction, we can only offer Marans from the oldest batch we bred last year. Thus, our selection for the rare-breed auction is minimal, with only four Marans available. Unfortunately, the pullets have not yet laid, so we could not confirm the egg colour in time for the auction.

We will exclusively use Glorious Elite Poultry Auctions (GEPA) as our auction house. The GEPA auctions are held on WhatsApp on Saturdays.
